Cristiano Ronaldo Who? Oh, speaking of Cristiano Ronaldo and the 98 million euro tag on him imposed by Real Madrid, he was hardly appearing even a quarter of that sum. Throughout the competition, he has been brilliant in flashes and if his inability to translate his undeniably stupendous form for his current club Manchester United was willingly ignored by all during the group matches, then there was no eclipsing that fact against Germans. Ronaldo was kept in check by a very organized and wary German defence and although he did have a few chances prostrating before him, it seemed that like on all other grand occasions this time too he had gone fishing.
