After Star Box Office broke the news that Shah Rukh's cheerleaders weren't even allowed to cheer once at the matches because audiences wanted only South African cheerleaders on field, a statement was released by SRK's production house, saying, "The group was taken on the holiday as part of the team. The experience was nothing short of outstanding for them as they got to perform during the cricket carnival road show as well as ride around Cape Town in an open-top bus along with the players."
The damage-control press release adds, "Along with that, the girls watched the matches from the VIP box with none other than King Khan and his family. And, once that was over, the lovely ladies even had to the time to go shopping!"
