**NUMBER 2**
*SIR DONALD BRADMAN*
Ali's record in professional boxing's most competitive era has seen him get the nod ahead of cricket legend Sir Donald Bradman. Sir Donald George Bradman (27 August 1908 – 25 February 2001), often referred to as The Don, was in the Australian team, and is widely acknowledged as the greatest batsman of all time.
*IN THIS PICTURE:* Australian cricket legend Sir Donald Bradman, pictured during a television interview in Adelaide in 1996, rewrote cricket record books by scoring 6,996 runs in 52 tests at an average of 99.94 when he played from the 1920s to the late 40s. No other player before or since has come close to matching his batting average.
